Bittern Lake Outfitters operates migratory bird hunts
from September 1 to October 30 each year. We hunt the
famed prairie pot hole country.
Our
lodge is right in the middle of prime nesting habitat
for mallard ducks, pintail, widgeon, gadwall and red
head as well as canvas back and Canada geese. In
September these locally raised birds start our early
season hunts with exceptional numbers; as the season
progresses the fall migration provides our hunting area
with a well balanced variety of migratory birds to
supply our hunters with great gunning over potholes for
ducks and in barley and pea fields for both ducks and
Canada geese. And the speckle belly and all the far
north birds come through the gunning.
Many
visitors to our migratory bird hunts say it is the best
hunting experience they have ever had.
Our priority is your success
and satisfaction.
